A financial institution’s headquarters envelope is procured on paper before it is built on site: the tender named the ASTM air-infiltration and water-penetration classes, the glazing security requirement and the acceptance tests. Our job was to make the installed wall match the tested system — which is where most curtain walls actually fail.
We set out the structural grid against survey data, installed the framing with anchor inspections at every floor, and glazed with the specified laminated units. Before the scaffold came down, the wall was hose-tested at the joints the specification flagged as critical. The institution’s project team received the full test record, the as-installed drawings and our written workmanship warranty.
